Thatcher Foundations is a specialty contractor in deep foundations, earth retention, and marine construction, proudly celebrating 80 years of delivering engineered geo-structural solutions throughout the Midwest.

Owned and led by second-generation engineers, the Wysockey brothers, and supported by a strong Thatcher team, including many fourth-generation employees and officers and key personnel with advanced engineering credentials (PE, SE, PhD)—the company brings a deep understanding of local ground conditions and applicable local, national, and international building codes. Combined with our extensive database of geotechnical borings, this expertise drives innovative design-build solutions to complex project challenges, as well as the development and refinement of specialized equipment. We provide a wide range of deep foundation and earth retention systems tailored to meet each project’s specific needs.

Headquartered in the Chicago area and licensed in Illinois, Indiana, Michigan, and Wisconsin, our services include hydraulic pressed sheeting, drilled piling, caissons, pile driving, displacement piling, chemical and permeation grouting, ground and rock anchors, soil nailing, cofferdams, dock inspection, and marine construction.
